Redemptorists in Ireland

St. Alphonsus in Limerick was the first Redemptorist Foundation in Ireland. From there the Redemptorists opened foundations in Dundalk(1876), Belfast (1896), Athenry, Co. Galway (1901), Dublin (1910) and Cork (1988). In recent years due to falling numbers our communities in Dublin, Marianella, and Galway, Esker had to close.  A more detailed account of the history of the Redemptorists in Ireland can be found on www.redemptorists.ie
