New Leadership Team for Irish Redemptorists

The Dublin Province of the Irish Redemptorists held their Chapter, in Dublin recently, from January 11th to the 16th. During the course of the Chapter they confirmed Fr. Dan Baragry, C.Ss.R. as their new Provincial, and elected new councils to assist him.  Fr. Ciaran O’Callaghan, C.Ss.R. was elected Vicar, and Fr. Noel Kehoe, C.Ss.R. was elected as Second Consultor.  These three form what is known as the Ordinary Provincial Council and are responsible for the day-to-day running of the Dublin Province.  Frs. Adrian Egan, C.Ss.R., Brian Nolan, C.Ss.R. and Seamus Enright, C.Ss.R. were also elected as members of what is known as the Extraordinary Provincial Council.  Along with the three members of the OPC, the EPC meets periodically to make appointments, and advise and make decisions on major issues decisions affecting the ministry and life of the Dublin Province.

Fr.  Noel is from Newry, Co. Down, Fr, Ciaran is from Dublin, and Frs. Dan, Adrian, Brian and Seamus are all Limerick City men.

The Redemptorist Chapter determined two apostolic priorities for the next four years, namely, Proclamation of the Word and Youth &  Young Adult Ministry.
