Times of Ceremonies, Masses and Confessions at Mount St. Alphonsus, Limerick during Holy Week.
We will celebrate the Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 7.30pm, Thursday, April 2nd. This will be followed by Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament during which people can ‘stay, keep watch with Jesus, and pray’. The time of Exposition will end with Night Prayer at 10.30pm.
We will celebrate the great Easter Vigil, beginning at 9pm, here in Mount St. Alphonsus Church, on Saturday, 4th April.
We begin Holy Week with the blessing of palms, and the reading of Matthew’s Passion, at all Masses this weekend, March 28th/29th. Vigil on Saturday at 7.15pm. Masses on Sunday at 8am, 12 Noon and 7.15pm.
St. Patrick’s Day falls this year on a Tuesday! The Vigil Mass will be on Monday at 7.15pm, and Masses on Tuesday will be at 8am, 10am, 12 Noon and 7.15pm. Because of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade beginning at 12 Noon, and what with road closures and parking restrictions nearby, the 12 Noon Mass will be a simple affair. People who normally come to Mass at 12 Noon might prefer to come to one of the other Mass times because of the parade and traffic restrictions.
There will be cantor-led congregational singing at the Monday Vigil at 7.15pm, and at the 10am and 7.15pm Masses on Tuesday.
Masses on Easter Sunday, April 5th are at 8am, 12 Noon and 7.15pm.
At the 10am and 7:15pm masses on Wednesday, February 11th, we will celebrate the Sacrament of Anointing for the Sick and Elderly.
