On Saturday, 15th October 2011, Fr Anthony Mulvey was honoured by his former parishioners of the European Parish, Luxembourg, on the occasion of his 60th Anniversary of Ordination by a celebratory lunch at the Radisson Hotel, Dublin. The occasion was organised by Mr Fergus O’Kane and his wife Sarah. There were among the first members of the Irish community in Luxembourg. Afterwards, Fergus continued his European Community work in Luxembourg.

Fr Tony believed he was going to a simple lunch with a few friends so he was unprepared for the reception and lunch that he found on his arrival. He was very moved by the number of people who turned up to do him honour. The attendance included Mr Ritchie Ryan and his wife, Mairead, who served several years in Luxembourg after serving as a minister in the Irish cabinet.
